HOPE LIVES
If true love of lovers is true,
Embrace the praises that believe,
Selfless appraisals, praiseworthy,
Offering you your own heart,
For willing hands to receive.
But if love doesn't return,
Know I've loved you deeply,
A lonesome soul may shed tears,
Loving you until the next dawn's light,
Through the passage of forthcoming years,
With the weight of bygone woes.

BREATHE
You must, for a moment,
Just close your eyes,
And embrace the love,
That simply sits within arm's length.
To touch the warmth, sometimes disguised,
But gentle wind, so it whispers,
If we can, just pause...
listen.
True love is in all forms,
Like the sun shines on water,
It simply glistens.
There, open your eyes as we were born; we are to live,
A simple journeyman,
Earning offerings of eternity
for you.

SOMEDAY
Someday, I will forget the very source of you,
From smiles that you’ve given birth to,
And all that can be endured,
Where thoughts ran wild to be conjured.
I asked myself, is this the life to be lived,
if you loved and gave everything possible, everything
you imagined to give?
But still, if I haven’t died,
Finding my purpose is to love what makes me feel alive.
Simply you, if this is a waste,
The emptiness has no place,
And a dream cascades down,
Forgoing such eyes contouring this frowned face.
The heart continues to race,
But never wins the chase.
