Daniel Paez

San Antonio Poet

“Some poems you read. Others read you.”

Daniel Paez is a San Antonio, Texas poet and the author of the poetry collection A Poet’s Destiny. He came to poetry late and all at once — he wrote his first poem at 38 and has written 1,900 poems in the seven years since, returning again and again to faith, family, and love. He is listed on the City of San Antonio Artist Registry (Literary Arts); his poem “A Life Given” is forthcoming in Yanaguana Literary Review (Spring/Summer 2027). In October 2027 he will be an Artist in Residence at the Château d’Orquevaux Artists & Writers Residency in France (Denis Diderot Grant recipient). He shares his work with some 3,000 followers on Instagram @danielpaezpoetry.
